While we cannot control the spread or impact of the virus on our church & community, we are doing everything we can to keep our church family safe while we continue to make every effort to stay connected. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to help us do just that. We must also remember that God has not called us to live in fear but in faith.
As the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For the Spirit of God does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”
We have restarted our in person services, but also realize that some people might feel more comfortable joining us online for a little longer. We encourage you to do what you feel is best for your family. We are still hosting our services on facebook live and YouTube.
Join us online or in person every Sunday at 10 AM.
Pray. Invest. Invite.
The virus is an interruption to our daily routine, but it shouldn't interrupt our faith. Rather, lets respond to this new temporary interruption with a mind towards spreading the gospel. Now, more than ever, people are looking for hope, and we as the church can offer them the unmovable hope that we have in Jesus.
Let's not forget our calling- to spread the good news of Jesus. We are encouraging all the people of Obi Community Church to live the Pray-Invest-Invite lifestyle. Pray for people, invest in their lives, and invite them to take a next step. Right now, the easiest next step is to invite folks to check us out online!
Share, comment, and interact with the church every Sunday morning at 10, and keep it up throughout the week. Check in on someone every day with a simple phone call or text. Pray for them, and let them know you care.
Looking for more to do? Consider helping the relief effort.
How can you Help?
We have set up a no contact, "drive-through-drop-off" at OCC. Simply pull up, unload your goods and resources for local relief efforts at the tables set up outside the church building under the front walkway.
We have some volunteers who will sort and deliver the goods to food banks, and individuals in need. Safety is among our first concerns, so please take proper precautions to stop the spread of the virus. Please wear gloves and wash your hands regularly.
Don't feel safe dropping off goods? You can still support the relief effort in our community. We have set up a special fund that will go directly toward buying goods and helping people our community who are struggling due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Please consider donating even just 5 dollars to help our community!
Social Distancing can be difficult on us. While we might be separated, we still need to connect and be encouraged regularly.
Check out our daily devotionals posted on Facebook and also our podcast. Share, comment, and meditate on our daily verses in these daily devotionals.
You are not alone! Reach out to other people from OCC, and the leadership team to encourage and be encouraged.
Do you have a need? Do you not have enough food or goods for you or your family, someone you know, or know an older person who is stuck at home? Please let us know, and we will do our best to get them supplies and check in on them.
