You might have some questions for us & we'd like to make it easier for you to get answers!
1. What is your mission statement and how do you carry it out?
Mission Statement: Obi Community Church exists to bring Praise to God by Reaching the lost, Connecting with other believers. Helping them to Grow so that they can Impact their world for Jesus. Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47. Our mission is carried out by providing various environments designed to target each of the 5 areas specifically. (i.e. Connecting--Community groups, Reaching--Outreach events.)
2. What is the best way to get plugged in?
You can find out what is available through the Welcome Center. The best thing to do is to "just ask!" --either the pastor or the Welcome Center Coordinator. We will help guide you through various forms we have available to help you find out where you best fit in.
3. Do you offer child care during the services?
We have Nursery (0-2 1/2), Kid Zone (3-Kindergarten), and Discovery Kidz (1-3rd grades) available at our 10:30 service.
4. What is non-denominational?
OCC is an independent, fundamental Bible church, non-denominational in nature. Its government is vested in the body of believers who compose it. Recognizing Christ as its head, it is subject to no ecclesiastical body, and will forever maintain this position. Colossians 1:18
5. How do I join OCC?
The membership at OCC must consist of those who have been born again, scripturally baptized by immersion and voluntarily uniting with our body of believers. You must also accept the Statement of Faith. You would need to request a meeting with the leadership of the church to discuss your salvation experience, baptism and the church's doctrinal position.
6. Where is OCC located?
We are located in Western, NY on Route 305 approximately 4 miles north of Portville off Route 417 or 5 miles south of Cuba off Interstate 86.
7. How should I dress?
We come dressed in suits, jeans, shorts, ties, t-shirts, dresses, and sandals. Our doors are open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. So . . . come as you are!
8. What can I expect at OCC?
Our church consists of ordinary people in a casual atmosphere. We try our hardest to not be intimidating--it is our goal to make you feel comfortable! We trust that our services and programs give you the tools that you need to live a godly life. Wherever you are--young, single, married, divorced, re-married, or grown-ups, OCC is a place for people just for you!
